Thunderstorms – [ Poetry Potluck week 37 ] – Sonnet # 3

A blinding flash,

An enormous roar,

The thunder hits,

It’s anger to the core.

The clouds turn black,

The houses turned to shack,

The sky turns grey,

The harsh winds slay everything in it’s way.

A tsunami hits,

The hurricane flits,

The lightening flashes,

Nature’s disasters clashes.

An enormous roar,

The thunder’s anger to the core.

Journey and the Road Ahead…. [Poetry Potluck] [Sonnet #2]

Well.. what I’m going to write now is my version of a sonnet. My first sonnet was also my version as I’m not following the strict rhyme scheme and structure and the syllable stuff. But yes i will get on to writing perfect sonnet soon. This is my second sonnet. Enjoy it!! 😀

With a new dawn to look forward to,

A clear day to start out with,

My new journey i start now,

One step after another slow,

Awaiting those twists and turns that come and go,

The thrills and excitements life can bring,

Some surprises and fun join in and sing.

My journey on the road ahead,

May be long or soon come to an end,

My life plans i not yet know,

I just want to enjoy and be on the go,

But i sense the road ahead will be great,

Now i start my journey after a break,

My first step on the road ahead i take.

Sonnet #1

A blushing face , a bright smile,

So much happiness , it’s so sublime.

A tear stained face with a quivering lip,

So much sadness , the heart it strips.

Red on the face , shaking head to toe,

Ablaze like fire , anger out of control.

A feeling so heavenly , it takes you to another world,

You lose yourself in it’s midst , it’s love an unconditional twist.

A guilty feeling welling up , unable to control you spill it out,

A confession made it feels so good , a sigh of relief after a long time you took.

Too many  desires , craving and wants ,

So much temptation, one can never be warned.

A bubbling spirit , a jumpy mood,

Seen in the atmosphere this excitement so true!
